Stars back AP Partylist as it wraps up three-month campaign in Cebu (Sabong News)

DALAGUTE, Cebu — 164 AP Partylist wrapped up a grueling three-month campaign in Cebu today, May 7, with a final grand rally in Dalaguete, Cebu led by Coco Martin, the AP Allstars dubbed Task Force 164 and its nominees Rep. Ronnie Ong, Rey Tambis and Chris Tio.
In February, Coco Martin appeared on a series of television commercials declaring his endorsement for his new chosen partylist, AP Partylist, “dito na tayo sa biyaheng aasenso ang bawat Pilipino.” Coco appeared with fellow stars Julia Montes, Michael de Mesa, Raymart Santiago, Angel Aquino, John Prats, Marc Solis and John Medina on the AP Partylist TVC which can also be seen on social media.
On the ground campaigns were also led by Coco and AP Team 164 which brought them to different areas nationwide like Iligan, Pangasinan, Manila and of course Cebu which is the home province of two of AP Partylists’ nominees, Rey Tambis and Chris Tio. Meanwhile, Yassi Pressman also led AP Partylist events in Palawan, Cagayan, Bohol, Surigao, Siargao, Iligan and Cebu.
Rep. Ronnie Ong, who has been called the frontliner congressman, also led sorties in Baguio and the Cordilleras, La Union, Ilocos, Laguna, Makati, Manila, Batangas, Bataan, Samar, Davao, Palawan, Bohol, Cebu, Iligan, Surigao, Oroquieta, and South Cotabato.
The AP Partylist rap song and inspiring anthem entitled, “Ako’y Pilipino,” were composed and sung by Smugglaz, Bassillyo and Sisa. The popular rappers also accompanied the AP Team as it made rounds all over the country. The AP all stars team spread the word about the advocacies and platforms of AP Partylist through video explainers posted on their social media and went house to house and did market visits in areas like Quezon City, Rizal, Cebu and Iligan and Surigao.

At the Dalaguete Grand Rally, Coco once again enjoined everyone, “wag po tayong malilito! Ang AP Partylist 164 ang aming sinusuportahan na partylist at wala nang iba!” Coco Martin added that they are all out in supporting AP Partylist because they not only believe in its advocacies but that they also know that with AP Partylist in congress,”dito na tayo sa biyaheng aasenso ang bawat Pilipino!”
